Privacy Policy
Knobility does not use, store or transmit ANY personal data.
Users may authorize use of their
device's camera, and the third-party Dropbox API and/or iCloud, however these permissions are never extended to "background" usage by Knobility, and the none of the data obtained from such authorization is
stored, recorded, transmitted, or used in a manner not in keeping with the intention the user has
explicitly authorized it for. Location data is neither taken nor requested.
File import can come from the web, or various cloud-based services such as Dropbox or iCloud,
occurs only to the sandboxed iOS Knobility/Documents folder and in Dropbox, to the Apps/Knobility folder.
There are no passwords, usernames, or other indentifying bits of information used in any part
of the app. Nor is there even a record the specifications of the iOS device (e.g., model, OS version)
used to create any files. Dropbox and iCloud integration are handled via standard APIs and are goverened
by access controls of those other apps. Someday there may be a "social" aspect but for now this
app is 'anti-social'.
Simply put, harvesting your info isn't something this app is for, isn't something the
developer is interested in, and requires additional layers of coding which he simply
has no desire to write.
The forums run phpBB and are kept up to date as best as possible, but no
guarantee of data security can be offered there. Users should not provide any
information which they would not want broadcast if hackers hack.
